Few managers have caused such favourable comment on taking charge of a team, as Douglas Millward has since he became "Boss" at Love Street. He expects a lot from his players, and usually gets it – that is probably because it is not so long ago he himself was a player. His first few sweeps with the new broom have been encouraging, and even if the Northampton and Darlington results did not make pleasant reading, there is an air of confidence in Paisley that he can put St. Mirren back into the spotlight.
